Meet the Author

This year, the world changed forever--including the world of advertising and marketing. Brands and agencies are being held responsible in ways we never have before. Consumers are demanding that we uphold the interests of the greater good. It started with COVID-19. Then, the killing of George Floyd and the Black Lives Movement raised awareness of how systemic racism impacts our world, and called for us all to play a role in society beyond commerce. 

How have marketers and brands risen to the call? Execs and inclusion and diversity managers from Twitter, Starbucks, Facebook, Brookdale Senior Living, Nebo and Hawkeye Agency gathered this week to answer that question. In a webinar hosted by American Marketing Association Atlanta, Atlanta Interactive Marketing Association and Nebo, these experts discussed the ways in which brands are becoming a force for good, from reimagined hiring processes to tying corporate pay to diversity initiatives. 

As we enter month five of working from home, we at Nebo find ourselves asking, will this ever end HOW ARE THE OFFICE DOGS DOING??? 

Have we mentioned how much we love dogs at Nebo? They bring light, love and the occasional accident to our workdays, and over the last few months we have missed them dearly. But there is one silver lining to this apocalyptic WFH marathon. Now that home is the new office, we have tons of adorable new coworkers. We’ve widened our creature collection to include office dogs, office cats and even office babies.

This Independence Day, we decided to check in on our cutest coworkers to see how they’re celebrating at home. Happy 4th of Jul-awww!

This Mother’s Day is a tough one for many. Typically, we take this day to give our gratitude to the women in our lives who have molded us into who we are. We bring them flowers, take them to the spa or simply spend the day together.

This year, canceled plans, slow shipping times and social distancing measures have made giving our moms the day they deserve a challenge. But here at Nebo, we’re rising to it. 

Today marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, and it feels bittersweet this year at Nebo. 

Earth Day is always a big deal at our office. It’s a fun day full of events and education about how we can help our planet organized by our Green Team, and it doesn’t just end on April 22. All year long we compost, we recycle, we screen documentaries about the environment during lunch. This year, we even ran a six-month contest for our employees to inspire more green habits.  

2019 has been a wild ride here at Nebo. We marched in our first Atlanta Pride Parade, celebrated some major client wins, relaunched The Rescue Pledge, started our very own podcast and more. And of course, we shared it all on the Nebo blog.

Writing for the blog is a Nebo rite of passage. From fresh-faced interns to team leads with years of experience, our blog is a platform for everyone at Nebo to share their tips, tricks, opinions and experiences. This year, we wrote about everything from rescue pets and digital accessibility to the value of math class and how to boost your SEO strategy.
