Meet the Author

We know how the saying goes -- Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. As project managers, we were obviously all born great – but how many of us told our parents this is what we wanted to be when we grew up?

Project Managers sit in a fun middle ground, where many softer skills are equally as important as our technical marketing know-how, and many of us have been practicing those skills from an early age. In honor of International Project Management Day, some Nebo project managers compiled cherished childhood memories that, in retrospect, outline how our career paths began from an early age.

It’s no secret that we love food here at Nebo. We will find any excuse to throw a chili cook-off, host a cookie swap, celebrate a national food day or even create our own (National Peanut Butter Sandwich Day, 2/24 — put it on your calendars, folks).

When we heard that May 15 was National Chocolate Chip Day, we knew we wanted to do something special, even if we couldn’t be together in the office. So last week, we reached out to our coworkers and asked them to share their favorite chocolate chip creations with us. And let’s just say, they 👏 did 👏 not 👏 disappoint. 

We love peanut butter sandwiches... who doesn’t? In an age of national days celebrating Bubble Wrap, chocolate-covered raisins and talking like a pirate, we wanted to show peanut butter sandwiches some love by creating #peanutbuttersandwichday.

Some may say, “Why create another national day when we already have National Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Day, as well as National Peanut Butter Day?” But what about all the other peanut butter sandwich creations that go beyond PB and J? What about Nutella, or bacon? Pretzels and chocolate chips. Chicken and hot honey. The possibilities are endless... and delicious!
