Nebo’s Director of Marketing Project Management Recognized for Outstanding Volunteer Efforts from Atlanta’s Leading Marketing Organization
ATLANTA (July 16, 2020) – Christy Williams, Director of Marketing Project Management at Nebo, a human-centered agency built for the digital world, was named the Volunteer of the Year at the 63rd annual Atlanta Marketer of the Year Awards (AMY Awards). The American Marketing Association Atlanta (AMA Atlanta) hosts the annual ceremony to recognize exceptional marketing organizations and individuals in the city and is a renowned, long-standing symbol of the best in Atlanta marketing.
Williams has been a devoted member of the marketing community, volunteering with AMA since she attended college at Florida State University. She was named AMA Atlanta President in 2018, marking a major milestone as the youngest marketer to ever serve in the role, after volunteering on the AMA Board of Directors for five consecutive years. Under her leadership, the organization won numerous Chapter Excellence Awards awards, including Leadership Excellence and Platinum Club of Continuing Excellence. Williams wins this award as the immediate Past President and has continued to be a dedicated force for the chapter’s success. She was also previously named a “Rising Agency Star” by iMedia Communications, Inc.
“Christy’s passion for effective and innovative marketing extends well beyond Nebo’s doors,” said Sarah Christiansen, Nebo’s Vice President of Project Management. “Her commitment to this passion has been incredibly impactful in connecting Atlanta’s local marketing community, and we’re so thrilled she has been honored with this prestigious and well-deserved recognition.”
AMA Atlanta is a driving force in the marketing industry and is the third-largest AMA chapter in the United States. The organization’s annual AMY Awards celebrate Atlanta’s best work in marketing, including innovative strategies, unforgettable campaigns and outstanding professionals across the industry. This year’s AMY Awards winners were announced on June 25 during a virtual ceremony.
Nebo earned four additional awards during the evening, including Social Media Campaign on behalf of Brookdale Senior Living, Paid Search / PPC for Buy-Rite Beauty, B2B + B2C Visual Branding / Identity for its work with Rescue Pledge as well as Project Management for Damon Borozny - the company’s Senior Director of Project Management.
